Artwork from W.T. Clarke High School seniors Frank Festa and Julianna Goyzueta will be showcased at the Long Island’s Best Exhibition, to be held at the Heckscher Museum of Art from April 6 though May 19.

The W.T. Clarke Art Honor Society found opportunities to fuel creativity during a recent field trip to the Heckscher Museum, where students were inspired by specific pieces from the gallery. They completed various projects that were voted on by members of the Art Honor Society, faculty and administration. Several hundred total submissions representing 50 high schools on Long Island were narrowed down to 80 that were selected for the exhibit.

Frank and Julianna were among the talented artists chosen. Frank was inspired by Robert Richenburg’s “Flicker,” while Julianna based her project on the “Times of Unease” by Humbeto Calzada.

“We are thrilled to have two students have their work selected among Long Island’s best and look forward to the showcase,” said teacher Jane Pawlowski.
