Two groups of eighth grade students from Woodland Middle School in the East Meadow School District took part in team-building activities at BOCES Project Adventure in Brookville on Nov. 6 and 7. The educational trip provided a real-world application of the school’s social emotional learning curriculum by encouraging student growth and cooperation.

Throughout the adventure-filled day, students developed their communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills as they navigated a series of challenges and obstacles. Both faculty and students had a great experience and are looking forward to more team-building events in the future.
