Important Notice Regarding the Spring 2020 Continuing Education Session

Dear East Meadow Community,

I hope this communication finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. Due to the current impact of COVID-19 and the recent extension of school closures announced by Governor Cuomo to May 15, 2020, the Spring Semester of Continuing Education has been cancelled.

If the class that you are registered for has already begun, the class will be prorated, and you will receive a credit to put towards a Continuing Education class that you take in the future.

If the class has not begun, then you have the option to receive a credit for the following year or a refund.
If you choose to receive a refund you will need to put this in writing, with the following information; Name, Class, and address where the refund check should be sent.

Please be advised that all future communication will be through email. The above information should be emailed to ContinuingEd@emufsd.us.

Thank you and we hope that you and your family stay healthy and safe.

Sincerely,

Kristi Detor
Director of Continuing Education
East Meadow School District

The East Meadow Board of Education sponsors a program of adult learning experiences at East Meadow High School. It is a diversified education program that includes many course offerings.

Residents of the East Meadow School District will receive a brochure for the Fall and Spring Adult Education Program prior to the start of the classes.  The catalogs are posted on the district website in the fall and the spring.

East Meadow senior residents, age 60 and over, will receive a tuition reduction of five dollars on most courses.

If you have an area of expertise and are looking to become an adult education teacher, please send an email with your résumé, course information, background and contact information to Kristi Detor at kdetor@emufsd.us.
