The East Meadow School District is proud to announce that Barnum Woods Elementary School fifth grader Reyansh Kulkarni won the Fall InvestWrite Competition for New York State and finished third nationally.

Through InvestWrite, an innovative national writing competition, students can explain their investment strategies and recommendations based on what they have learned about saving and investing. Representatives from InvestWrite surprised Reyansh during a school assembly on April 7. His teacher, Sara Finkelstein, awarded him with a laptop, a medal and two trophies.

Additionally, all of Barnum Woods’ fifth graders who entered the competition received their own certificate. The district would like to congratulate Reyansh, Ms. Finkelstein and the entire Barnum Woods fifth grade for this impressive accomplishment.
