The East Meadow School District congratulates East Meadow High School student Amber Dacanay and W.T. Clarke High School student Joanna Lee who were selected as exhibiting artists for the Long Island's Best Young Artists exhibition at The Heckscher Museum.

This annual exhibition features extraordinary works of art created by Long Island high school students. Nearly 400 works of art from 55 high schools were submitted for jurying this year, with 79 selected by Heckscher Museum Curator Karli Wurzelbacher, and guest juror, artist and Long Island’s Best Alumna Emily Martin.

Dacanay’s work, “Intimacy’s Embrace” and Lee’s work, “Curls To Match,” will be on display at the museum through May 29.
