Sixth graders in Ms. Christina Carbone’s ELA class at Woodland Middle School in East Meadow recently teamed up to publish their own books.
Students wrote and illustrated stories based on their own personal experiences, which included moving from a different country, how playing an instrument changed their life and their growth as middle schoolers. The group agreed that their favorite parts of this project were figuring out the subjects that they were going to write about and the process of illustrating stories. The books were published through Studentreasures Publishing.
