BOE Retirees

The East Meadow Board of Education recognized more than a dozen educators for their years of service during its June 11 board meeting at the Salisbury School.

Collectively, this year’s retirees represent more than 400 years of service to the district. Each retiree received a plaque from the board to celebrate their remarkable careers.

“We are so thankful for all that you have done for the children of East Meadow,” said Anthony Russo, the district’s assistant superintendent for personnel and administration.

Additionally, Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Rosner honored board trustees Dr. Jodi Luce and Matthew Melnick in recognition of their dedication, service and contributions to the children and residents of the East Meadow school community. Dr. Luce served the board from 2019-2025, while Mr. Melnick served the board from 2016-2025.

The district would like to commend its incredible educators for all of their hard work and for being dedicated members of the East Meadow school community.
