The 2025 W.T. Clark High School Rams varsity boys volleyball team in East Meadow enjoyed a historic fall season, going undefeated with an overall record of 14-0 and finishing at the top of Nassau County Conference 2D.

United by a selfless philosophy where everyone is valued, Clarke’s squad has truly epitomized the definition of a team, creating a family environment dedicated to a common goal. Led by head coach Tim Thom and assistant coach Dean Lanza, this collective commitment and willingness to do whatever it takes have made this an incredible, memorable season.

While the team's success is a collective effort, with anyone capable of making a crucial play at any moment, several players have made distinct contributions in specific areas:

  • Ethan Follick, Setter: Ethan has been the cornerstone of our success. His belief in the process and his ability to evenly distribute the ball have transformed the offense, making W.T. Clark HS a difficult team to compete against. He leads by action, demonstrating a profound belief in every player's ability to succeed.

  • Consistent Attack: Clarke’s offensive leaders have been Jamison Barry, Daniel Wang, and Alex Hall, who have provided reliable and powerful hitting throughout the season.

  • Defensive Anchors: Alex Babwah and Sami Sheikh have been remarkable on defense, consistently recording the most digs and keeping us in crucial points.

  • Late-Season Impact: Darron and Devin Chen have come on strong late in the season. Darron has shown amazing improvement in his blocking and hitting, while Devin brings incredible energy, a potent attack, and a relentless, all-out effort on defense.

  • Versatile Sparks: Patrick Lu, Michael Burriesci, and Gavin Tibbal are three of Clarke’s most versatile players. They are consistently put into the game when the team needed a boost, providing energy and allowing teammates to recover, always ready to make an impact.

  • Serving: Clarke’s serving has been a true team strength, with different players stepping up at critical moments to score vital points.

Ultimately, this team’s perfect record reflects its character. It is a powerful reminder that success is built not on individual standouts, but on a complete team working together as one.
