On Nov. 6, senior members of each high school’s chapter of the National Art Honor Society in East Meadow, along with their advisors, gathered at the Salisbury School to collaborate and create the annual Unity Day mural.
Unity Day is a national effort to prevent bullying through the promotion of kindness and compassion. This year’s theme was “Rise Above with Kindness.” This one-of-a-kind mural features a majestic phoenix created out of thousands of individually signed feathers. The district commends our talented art students for their creativity, collaboration, and dedication in bringing the Unity Day mural to life.
