students with project

Fourth grade students at Barnum Woods Elementary School in East Meadow recently demonstrated their creativity and research skills through an engaging social studies project focused on Iroquois long houses.

Students worked diligently on their research before teaming up to design and construct detailed models that reflected their learning. The project encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on learning as students translated historical research into physical models. Each long house showcased impressive details, highlighting students’ understanding of Iroquois culture and architecture.
