Following their social studies unit on the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca civilizations, students at Bowling Green Elementary School in East Meadow showcased their learning through hands-on research and creativity.

Students researched and constructed a variety of traditional artifacts representing these ancient cultures. Each class hosted a Codex Museum, inviting peers, staff, and visitors to explore the replicas and learn more about the daily lives, traditions, and innovations of the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca peoples.

The Codex Museum experience allowed students to deepen their understanding of ancient civilizations while developing research, presentation and critical thinking skills. Through this interactive project, students demonstrated both academic knowledge and creativity, bringing history to life in a meaningful way.
