Students at Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow recently rolled up their sleeves and put their green thumbs to work during the school’s annual Beautification Day, helping bring new color and life to the school grounds.

Working together, students carefully planted a variety of flowers and plants throughout the school property, taking pride in helping to create a welcoming and vibrant environment for the entire school community. The event encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and hands-on learning as students contributed to the beautification of their school.

In addition to planting, students also learned about the important role plants play in supporting a healthy ecosystem. Through the activity, they explored how flowers and greenery contribute to the environment and help promote sustainability and wellness in the community.

Beautification Day continues to be a meaningful tradition at Meadowbrook, giving students the opportunity to connect with nature while making a positive impact on their school grounds.
