Bowling Green mural and medal winner

The East Meadow School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Bowling Green Elementary School fifth grader Ugo Eze, who recently earned first-place finishes in both of his events at a swimming competition through HOPEFitness.

Competing in the adaptive division, Ugo captured first place in both the freestyle and backstroke races, demonstrating remarkable determination, skill, and sportsmanship. HOPEFitness is an organization dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles through inclusive fitness and recreation opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. The organization’s programs are designed to maximize participation, build confidence, and help every individual achieve success in a supportive environment.

Ugo’s accomplishments are a reflection of his hard work, dedication, and positive attitude. His success in the pool serves as an inspiration to his classmates and the entire Evergreen school community. As he continues to pursue his passions both in and out of the classroom, the East Meadow School District joins his family, teachers, and peers in celebrating this exciting milestone and wishing him continued success in future competitions.
