Students from throughout the East Meadow School District were proudly represented in the 2026 New York State School Boards Association Student Art Exhibit, an annual statewide showcase celebrating the creativity and artistic achievements of student artists from elementary and secondary schools across New York State.
Sponsored by the New York State Art Teachers Association, the NYSSBA Student Art Exhibit highlights student artwork and provides an opportunity to share the talents of young artists with school board members and education leaders from across the state. The exhibit was presented during the NYSSBA Annual Convention, held Oct. 22–24 in Buffalo, New York.
Since 2020, the exhibit has been presented virtually, allowing student artwork to reach a wider audience through an online showcase representing the state's 10 regions. School board members attending the convention had the opportunity to view the featured artwork, and the virtual exhibit will remain accessible to attendees and the public through spring 2027.
East Meadow's participation reflects the district's longstanding commitment to the arts and its belief in the importance of providing students with opportunities to explore their creativity, develop their skills and express themselves through artistic experiences. The district is proud to recognize the art educators who helped bring their students' work to this prestigious statewide platform.
