Clubs 2023-2024

  • *Builders Club - A student-led service club to develop leadership through service to the school and community. This club is jointly sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

  • *Chamber Orchestra - A special musical ensemble for string students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades by audition only. Special performances will be scheduled during the school year. This ensemble will explore more challenging orchestral material. See Mr. Fazio for audition information.

  • *Chamber Singers - This is a specialized group for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Auditions will be held for 6th graders in the fall. See Mrs. Waters for audition information.

  • *Change 4 Change - A student-driven service club where students develop creative fundraising projects and competitions, form a congress to make decisions and choices, and then present donations and personalized gifts at a culminating program in May. This club is for creative students who have a passion and desire to make a difference in the world and want to connect with causes in need. This is a club where Clarke students can make a difference.

  • *Clarke Chef- 7th and 8th graders will create tasty foods for our school and to donate to the community.

  • *Clarke Courier Newspaper - The Courier is the Clarke Middle School Newspaper. Areas you can work include writing articles, interviewing, proofreading, layouts, and graphics.

  • *Clarke Literary Magazine - Join the Literary Magazine and join the fun and excitement. Be part of the staff that creates a year-end issue of student stories and poetry!

  • *Computer Club - The Computer Club provides students with opportunities to enrich and extend their skills with new forms of technology. At times, the Computer Club takes part in service-learning initiatives.

  • *Drama Club - START DATE: FEBRUARY -The club meets 2 -3 times per week (starting in the new year) and performs each spring. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, regardless of experience, are invited to audition. In addition to performers, the directors need costume assistants, stagehands, and sound and lighting staff.

  • *Floor Hockey Club- Floor Hockey Club is a quick paces pick up game that will take place in the gym on specified mornings.

  • *Garden Club - The Garden Club is dedicated to beautifying our school. Our club plants flowers maintain the Garden at the front of the building and participates in other service activities.

  • *G.O. (Student Government) - Clarke Middle School’s student government structure is comprised of representatives from each advisory and officers elected by the student body. All students are encouraged to become members of the student government and participate through their representatives.

  • *Homework Helpers - The Homework Helpers Club provides peer tutoring for students who need help with homework. The club meets after school. It is open to all grades. Students may sign up at any time to give and/or receive tutoring services.

  • *Jazz Ensemble - The Jazz Ensemble is a select group of 6th, 7th and 8th graders that rehearse and perform as an extra-curricular activity. Rehearsals will take place in the morning (before school). This group is available through audition. See Mrs. Ingoglia for audition information.

  • *Kids in Clarke's Kitchen- 6th graders will use their talents in cooking and home skills to create tasty foods and treats for our school and community organizations such as senior groups, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens.

  • Math Olympiads - Any 6th, 7th and 8th grader can come and take math tests once a month, as part of a team contest. We have weekly practice meetings and practice tests.

  • *Multimedia Club - Are you interested in getting involved with Rams Live? Join Multimedia Club! You’ll help come up with story ideas, create segments for the show, and learn how to use Movie Maker and work with green screen technology.

  • *Mural Club - Our club decorates the hallways, creates holiday paintings, and designs large painted murals for walls and hallways. Students may also work on their own.

  • *Yearbook - Students design and set up our school yearbook. Activities include artwork, photography, and design. 

  • * Physical Education Intramurals- Join the intramurals to play such sports as basketball, volleyball, golf and tennis. Intramurals takes place before school.
