Numerous students from the East Meadow School District were selected to participate in the 2026 Nassau Music Educators Association All-County Festival, which will be held at Long Island University Post in January.

According to the organization’s website, NMEA is comprised of educators and professionals who advocate for the importance of high-quality music instruction delivered by certified music educators. East Meadow student musicians achieved this distinguished recognition based on outstanding performances in the New York State School Music Association’s solo evaluations, as well as through teacher recommendations.

Additionally, several East Meadow students were chosen to perform in the 2026 Long Island String Festival Association festivals. Established in 1956, LISFA is dedicated to fostering students’ musical growth and supporting conductors while highlighting the impact of string music throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The East Meadow School District congratulates its talented student musicians on their acceptance into these prestigious regional festivals and applauds their continued dedication to musical excellence.
