East Meadow students earn awards during Senior Scholarship Ceremony

East Meadow High School celebrated its scholars at the school’s annual Senior Scholarship Ceremony in their auditorium on June 13.

The evening kicked off with the Hall of Distinction induction ceremony, which honors exceptional alumni for their accomplishments in either their individual fields of endeavor or their contributions to the broader community. These nominees serve as role models for East Meadow’s current students. This year, Rich Barrabi, Class of 2003; Camille Perry, Class of 1997; and Kenneth Sepe, Class of 1958, were inducted.

The remainder of the evening was a celebration of exemplary seniors. More than 200 awards and scholarships were given to these outstanding students. Examples of a few of these awards included the National Honor Society Recognition Award and the President’s Award for Academic Excellence.

East Meadow’s Senior Scholarship Ceremony was the culmination of the students’ hard work and commitment to East Meadow High School and their community. The ceremony was filled with great energy and excitement, and the district wishes each of these students the brightest of futures.
