This past February, East Meadow HS Math League Team members Tanjeed Alam, Steven Cheng, Krzysztof Brachowski, Andrew Cheng, and Chris Dagoon had the honor of being selected to be a part of Nassau County’s All-Star team! Since then, these students have attended weekly night practices at Syosset High School to prepare for NYSML competition. During the second weekend in April, they joined forces with other teams from Nassau County including Jericho, Great Neck South, and Syosset to represent Nassau County as they traveled upstate to Owego, NY to face off against the best mathematics students in the State! Our EM students faced many math hurdles, including individual exams, team exams, and relay-challenges, and left with lots of great experiences and new friends. Please wish them luck as the move on to the National Competition at Penn State University on Saturday, June 1st!
