Walking Together for Wellness and a Drug-Free Life

Red Ribbon Week was upon us, when we celebrated staying healthy and drug-free. We also wore different colors and styles to show support for different types of awareness. We talked to Ms. Arnone, who had been at McVey for 19 years, and she told us that this week was not just celebrated at McVey—it was recognized all over the world. We encouraged everyone to stay healthy and drug-free!

The Wellness Walk was an event where all the students and staff members at McVey walked around the community. Each class made its own poster to carry, showcasing the themes of Red Ribbon Week. Grades 3, 4, and 5 took two laps, while the younger grades took one. It was super fun walking and talking with friends, and all the creative posters were a great way to promote healthy habits!
