McVey Elementary School was filled with music and holiday cheer during the Winter Concert, featuring talented student performers from multiple grade levels. The 5th Grade Orchestra performed Tree Top Dreams, Arco-ology, and Yuletide Cheer, while the 5th Grade Band energized the audience with Furioso, March of Rookies, Tambora!, and Jingle Bells Rocks. The 4th and 5th Grade Chorus sang beautifully, performing Lightning, Here Comes the Sun, and Shine Like the Stars, creating a joyful and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
In addition, students from Woodland visited McVey Elementary School to help spread even more holiday spirit. Students enrolled in band, orchestra, or chorus had the opportunity to perform at McVey and reconnect with former teachers. This was an especially exciting experience for our third grade Mighty Minds, who were able to see and hear a variety of instruments they may choose when they enter fourth grade. Overall, this concert was a wonderful way to celebrate music and inspire younger students to explore musical opportunities.
