Woodland Middle School is proud to announce the opening of its newly reconstructed Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) room. The redesigned space blends modern technology with hands-on learning opportunities, providing students with an engaging environment to build essential life and career skills.
The updated FACS room features state-of-the-art appliances, flexible workstations, and collaborative spaces that support both culinary exploration and project-based learning. With improved organization, expanded storage, and a bright, welcoming design, the space is tailored to foster creativity, teamwork, and real-world readiness. Additional shelving and TV monitors will be installed soon to further enhance instruction and student collaboration.
"This new space allows our students to learn in a setting that reflects the skills they'll use beyond the classroom," said Kristi Detor, Principal of Woodland Middle School. "It's about preparing them for the future, whether that's cooking, financial literacy, or exploring career pathways."
The reconstructed FACS room represents Woodland Middle School's ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful, future-focused learning experiences in a modern and supportive environment.
