A day ahead of Veterans Day, Clarke High School had the honor of hosting several distinguished veterans who shared their personal experiences in the military with our 11th and 12th grade social studies classes.
Jade Madden, United States Navy Veteran and Math Special Education teacher; Peter Clark, United States Air Force Veteran and Social Studies Special Education teacher in training; and Mr. Walowitz, United States Armed Forces Veteran and father of teacher Neil Walowitz, each spoke about their time in the service. They shared photos, artifacts, and thoughtful reflections, while answering insightful questions from our students.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Bagel Shop and Mario’s Pizzeria, both in Westbury, for their incredible generosity in donating breakfast, dessert, and lunch for the event. Their support helped make this meaningful day even more special.
