Kindergarten students celebrated the end of the school year with "Kindergarten Celebration Day"!
They played relay games with families cheering them on and had the best time at their picnic!





What a GREAT day for 5th GRADE FIELD DAY!!! The 5th graders had so much fun competing, racing, and working as a team! Thank you to our Physical Education Department for planning, organizing, and providing all of these amazing activities and sports events for the students!



It is International Week at Barnum with the theme: Be YOUnique! Today, classes learned about cultures from different countries all over the world as family members of students visited classrooms to share their cultures, customs, and traditions. @eastmeadowschools #BeYOUnique










We celebrated our last day of Wellness Week with Mental Health Day! Classes visited the Affirmation Station, created Gratitude Journals and Flowers, and wrote "Pawsitive” Messages to encourage each other! Thank you to our Wellness Committee for a great week! #WW25 @emeadowschools

Wellness Week continues & today is Physical Fitness & Nutrition Day! Students enjoyed yoga sessions with our 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Keicher!
The staff participated in a step challenge, while students completed a movement challenge at the “Paws” Stations throughout the building!







Grades 1, 2, and 4 had the best time at their FUN FIELD DAYS today! Thank you to our amazing physical education teachers for organizing, planning, and implementing all of the exciting games and activities for the students!










Did someone mention… the INVENTION CONVENTION?! The 5th grade students pitched their amazing ideas and innovative inventions at the Invention Convention to the 4th grade students! #InventionConvention #VIPDay @emeadowschools







CRADLE OF AVIATION EGG DROP! Grade 5 Quest students created “eggstraordinary” devices to withstand the drop from the second floor of the Cradle of Aviation! What an EGGciting day!!


Unplugged Day means computer classes with NO computers! Mrs. Kirichenko had her 5th graders rethinking coding in a whole new way! Communicating with details was the focus. Students drew images based on their partners' detailed descriptions! The results were quite impressive!










It’s WELLNESS WEEK! Students experienced a day with no Chromebooks! Ms. Guglielmo took her library class outside to do some reading on this beautiful day! Some of us wore the color black representing UNPLUGGED DAY, and others wore red, white, and blue in honor of Memorial Day!



The Barnum K-Kids showed their respect as they marched in East Meadow's Memorial Day parade to honor and remember veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Author, Gina Casazza, brought an unforgettable experience to Barnum, inspiring students to embrace belonging, self-worth, and creativity. Through interactive readings, book-writing workshops, and sing-alongs, Ms. Casazza helped students connect with the power of storytelling.




Congratulations and thank you to Mrs. Castiglia's kindergarten class for donating the most shoes for our annual PMT Shoe Drive! These smiling students celebrated with a delicious breakfast with Mrs. Sagnelli, Mrs, Alfano, and special guest, Nassau County Legislator, Tom McKevitt!




The second graders turned Barnum Woods into a Living Museum on V.I.P. Day! Students completed research projects on famous people, past and present, and showcased their research to the V.I.P.s, while dressed head to toe as these well-known figures!




Legislator Tom McKevitt visited Barnum’s 5th graders to present and explain Nassau County's local government, the history of East Meadow, and the great state of New York. He had everyone participating and kept them engaged as they learned these important facts!
