Students and staff at Barnum Woods proudly showed their support for P.S. I Love You Day by wearing purple and clothing featuring messages of love and kindness. Throughout the day and continuing all month long, classes engaged in meaningful lessons and discussions about being a good friend, spreading kindness, and reminding one another that no one is ever alone.


This week was the Barnum Woods 2nd Annual Cereal Box Challenge! The Barnum K-Kids hosted their Cereal Box Kindness Drive to donate boxes of cereal to local pantries. Before the cereal was donated, the K-Kids created a domino chain of cereal boxes throughout the halls and gym!! The students and staff had so much fun watching them fall!!!










Our 5th graders had a sneak peek at middle school life visiting Woodland Middle School! They had the opportunity to meet amazing Woodland teachers, tour the halls and classrooms, and experience the excitement of this next chapter in their educational journey! @emeadowschools





It was Cozy Vibes Day at Barnum!! These kindergarten students in Ms. Chionchio's class brought their best cozy vibes to school as they snuggled up, relaxed, and were dreaming big while learning in style! ❄️💙☃️

Barnum Woods is out of this world! Students were over the moon to wear their favorite space and galaxy attire for school spirit day today! Always remember to reach for the stars! 💫🪐🌙☄️🛸🚀




Safety patrol monitors do an excellent job helping to keep students safe each day. They responsibly watch for hazards and assist other students during arrival and dismissal. The monitors take their roles seriously and show leadership at all times. They are proud to wear their safety belts and badges while representing their school.

These students enjoy rotating through different math stations during math class . One station involves working with the teacher in a small group for targeted instruction and support. Another station focuses on building fluency through hands on practice activities and skill reinforcement. Students also work at a concepts station where they explore and deepen their understanding of the math curriculum.





The 4th grade students at Barnum Woods worked diligently on their research projects and created these amazing Iroquois Long House models with such impressive details! @emeadowschools










JARED CAMPBELL IN THE (BARNUM) HOUSE!!!! Everyone was so excited to have Jared Campbell back again this year! With his inspirational songs, his amazing advice, and his captivating messages, Jared Campbell is like no other! Thank you, PTA, for this incredible assembly!









Students showed their "PAWSitive Power" at our Character Education Club's Assembly! There were games, music, important messages, and a surprise visit from our Barnum Bobcat!!

The first grade classes had a great time at the Tilles Center on their field trip to see the show, "Ada Twist, Scientist", based on a children's book about a curious, young girl who loves science and using the scientific method to solve everyday mysteries! @emeadowschools

Mrs. Pelo & Mrs. Lanzieri's 1st grade class had so much fun learning about different techniques of art on their field trip to the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn.
