Mrs. Pelo and Mrs. Lanzieri’s 1st graders had so much fun comparing numbers using candy corn to represent the symbols “greater than” and “less than” during their math lesson today! @emeadowschools

Mrs. Pellegrino’s fifth grade ELA students enjoyed the fresh, fall air while working on their sensory narratives outside today. They are using descriptive language appealing to the five senses to create vivid experiences for their readers. @emeadowschools










Mrs. Abbatiello’s 4th graders showed their dedication and hard work writing personal narratives over the past weeks. They were thrilled to have their publishing party and couldn’t wait to share their personal narratives in their small groups and give their classmates compliments and glows. @emeadowschools







All of the kindergarten and first grade students LOVE when Mrs. Bradley, our BOCES technology specialist, visits their classes and teaches them new computer skills on their Chromebooks! @emeadowschools

Mrs. Kelleher and Mrs. Roth’s kindergarten students had so much fun picking their very own pumpkins from the Barnum Woods PTA Pumpkin Patch! They used their math skills to take their best guesses at the circumference of their class pumpkin! @emeadowschools


Mrs. Abbatiello’s 4th grade class adopted a calf from a dairy farm in Cortland, NY. They will follow their calf, Lily, as she develops and matures. They will have the opportunity to ask the farmers different questions about Lily’s progress. These 4th graders are so excited to watch Lily grow and learn more about these amazing farm animals!


Great progress with students' typing skills is happening in Mrs. Kirichenko's computer classes! 2nd graders filled in the missing keys on a keyboard after a "magic trick went wrong", while 3rd graders colored in the keys to their corresponding typing fingers! @emeadowschools






The second graders have been hard at work designing and building their own playgrounds after studying the properties of the Barnum playgrounds outside! @emeadowschools #science21

Presenting the 2025-2026 BW Kindergarten Nursery Rhymes Olympics! The students competed in the Mother Goose Waddle, the Humpty Dumpty Egg Relay, the Jack Jumps over the Candlestick, and culminated with Ring Around the Rosie! These Olympic Nursery Rhyme athletes had so much fun!










Ms. McKillop's kindergarten class used their five senses to explore pumpkins, both inside and out! They labeled the parts of a pumpkin, made pumpkin hats, and even had a chance to taste delicious pumpkin pie! @emeadowschools #pumpkinseason
