The girls varsity softball team won a thriller on Saturday, defeating cross-town rival Clarke, by a score of 12-9. Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the 7th inning, Gianna Ventura, Erin Schwartz and Gabi Shepherd all got on base to load the bases. Ali Barnwell then tied the game at 9 on a fielder’s choice. Katelyn Coffey then stepped up to the plate with 2 outs and hit a walk off 3 run homerun, to win the game for the Jets. This was Katelyn's second home run of the game, as she finished with a career day, going 4 for 5 with 5 RBI's. Great win girls!

The East Meadow Baseball team swept Jericho 12-10 yesterday in a real barn burner. Joseph Lanza lead the team with his 2nd homerun of the year. Darren Lake and Trevor Smith were both hot at the plate with 2 hits each. The Jets are in 1st place in the conference.

The Boys Lacrosse Team had a nice win yesterday against Hicksville, The Jets were led by Noah Garner with 4 goals, Bryan Tauber, Vincent Ronzo, and Thomas Primrose all had 2 goals each for the Jets. Dylan Aguirre had an assist, and great defense was played by Shaun Reilly, Ben Barbara, Antonio Ribeiro, and Richard Morreale. Great Win boys, the Jets look to continue their success today against Clarke.

Congratulations to Girls Flag Football on their 14-7 win yesterday against Oceanside. In a tightly played defensive game Allissa Nunez hit Kaitlyn Cohen on a 40 yard touchdown to put the "Jams" up 6-0 in the second half. Kaitlyn Cohen lead the way offensively with 114 yards rushing and 148 yards receiving. Isabella Torres lead with 8 flag pulls defensively. Olivia Barnwell also recorded a safety for EM (first ever !). The Jams are 2-0 against other first year programs this season.

Great game yesterday by JV Girls Lacrosse. Olivia Castle scored 3 goals, Lainie Lenz scored one goal assisted by Sam Diaz, and Hallie Huenke had two goals including a buzzer beater to tie the game! Christine Lee also had 7 saves in net! Great job ladies!

The Baseball team defeated Jericho yesterday on Senior Day by a score of 18-2. Eric Garcia was 3 for 3 with 2 triples and 3 rbi. Ben Rose was 3 for 4 with 2 rbi and 2 runs scored. Owen Smith was 2 for 3 with a homerun and 4 rbi, Joe Lanza and Tommy Stien each had 2 hits.  Sammy Dominguez pitched the final 2 innings of scoreless relief for the win. The Jets finish the series with Jericho on Thursday.

The girls varsity softball team won their last two games as they defeated Carey 15-6 and Hicksville 5-4. Against Carey, Grace Moone pitched a complete game allowing 3 earned runs to get the win. Sky Wallace was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and Ashley Lipack was 3 for 5 with 4 RBI’s. Allie Barnwell had 4 hits and scored 3 runs. Gabi Shepherd also had a homerun in the victory. Against Hicksville the girls were led by Gabi Shepherd as she pitched a complete game, striking out the last batter of the game with the tying run on third base. Great job girls!

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team had another conference win over Glen Cove 9-6. Jessica Stump led the Jets with 3 goals, Kayla Lederer had 2 goals, 1 assist and 6 ground balls, Jaelyn Zabala had 2 goals, Zoe Orlando had 1 goal and 3 ground balls, Crystal Cruz had 1 goal and 3 ground balls, Ariana Facenda had 3 ground balls and 2 draw controls, Maddy Reger had 1 assist, Kate Barnett had 1 assist and a game high of 8 ground balls. Goalie Alissa Mili had 9 saves to keep the team in the game. The JV Girls Lacrosse team had a great team win 12-5 over Glen Cove. Olivia Castle led the team with 4 goals & 3 draw controls, Vanessa Tomack 3 goals & 1 draw control, Brianna Soldner 1 goal & 1 draw control, and Lainie Lenz had 3 goals, Addison Hurwitz had 1 assist, and Christine Lee had 3 big saves!! The EM Jets Baseball team defeated Bethpage yesterday 11-1. Joe Lanza, Darin Lake, and Ryan Lauth each had two hits in the win. Lanza also had 2 runs scored and 2 rbi's. Lake also had one rbi and 2 runs scored and Lauth had 3 rbi's and 1 run scored. Owen Smith pitched 6 innings allowing only 1 run to earn the win. The Jets move on to Jericho next week.

The boys varsity tennis team defeated Carle Place yesterday 7-0 led by a 6-1 / 6-0 victory in first singles by senior Ethan Yohannan. Additional wins by second singles Dennis Calu and third singles Maxton Shafran added to the sweep of the Carle Place frogs, giving the Jets wins in 3 of their last four matches!! Great job JETS!.

Congratulations to the Virtual Enterprise Class and their company, "Reflect". The team attended the annual Youth Business Summit held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. This dynamic two-day event brings together 4,500 students from high schools across the U.S. and around the world to compete. This year, the East Meadow High School V.E. Class took SILVER in the Sales Pitch competition led by our C.E.O. Manny Martinez and assisted by the C.M.O. Jayson Costabile. Reflect, also achieved the highest possible honors of "TOP 10%" in the National E-Commerce Website Competition. Our Design Director, Hana Tran and the webmaster Dylan Blanco achieved a score of 4.83 out of 5. Hats off... to the Virtual Enterprise Class and the entire Reflect Company!

East Meadow Jets Baseball defeated Division yesterday by a score of 15-12. Eric Garcia, Trevor Smith, and Chris Amadeo each had 3 hits in the slugfest. Garcia also had 3 runs and a stolen base. Trevor had 4 rbi's, and Amadeo had 2 runs, 2rbi, and a stolen base. Owen Smith and Darin Lake each had 2 hits - Owen had a double 3 rbi's and 2 runs scored. Lake had 4 rbi's, a run scored and a great defensive play. The Jets have scored a total of 33 runs over the past 11 innings. The Jets take on Division today at 5pm at Division.
