Congratulations on the varsity football team who opened their season with a 49-13 win against Bellmore Kennedy this past weekend. Quarterback Trevor Smith ran for 114 yards and 3 Touchdowns and threw for 141 yards, including a 40 yard touchdown pass to Nick Schwabe. James Galiano ran for 187 yards and 1 TD, and Antonio Ribiero picked up a fumble and ran it in for a touchdown on defense. The Jets play Friday home at 6:30 for our Gold Game against New Hyde Park.

The JV Girls Tennis team smashed it on the courts yesterday against Bethpage! Zaria Khan and Esther Roy rallied to a 6-3 win, Nabiha Chowdhury and Rachel Lamb dominated 6-1. Hargun Gulati and Harlean Seth closed our their match 6-4. Way to serve up the victories ladies!

Yesterday, the East Meadow Varsity Soccer team battled hard and finished with a tough 1–1 tie against the Baldwin Bruins. Colin Smith found the back of the net after capitalizing on a deflected shot to get the Jets on the board. In goal, Marvin Espana came up clutch with several crucial saves to keep the game locked and secure the tie for East Meadow. Great effort by the whole team! The Jets are back in action this Wednesday against Herricks—come out and show your support!

The boys JV soccer team had another solid outing on Saturday morning with a 2-0 victory over Farmingdale. Goals were scored my Xavi Sanchez and Zachary Zucker as well as an assist from Issac Costa. This weekend, the East Meadow High School Chamber Choir traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall as part of Manhattan Concert Productions' Octavo Series under the direction of Dr. Amanda Quist and Dr. Tim Brent. The EMHS Chamber Choir was one of nine choirs from across the country that performed in the festival. The students had an amazing weekend of singing and performing in one of the world's most famous concert halls. It was an experience that they will always remember!

Congratulations to the East Meadow High School Girls Spring Track team on taking home the County Championship title last night at Syosset High School. It's an amazing feat as the girls repeated winter and spring being county champions two seasons in a row. The team edged out Oceanside by 7 points. Individual titles were claimed by Zaria Hall who was county champion in the 1500, 800 and 3000 and Ariana Montealegre who was County Champion in the shot put, breaking the school record. The 4x800 rely of Kaitlynn Slobodin, Maritsa Paul, Marcheline Simbulan and Anaya Hall took 2nd place. Anaya also earned all county in 2 other individual events. The Boys Spring Track team also did great placing 5th in the county. Congratulations to Christian Collura, Kyle Bir and Billy Duhs on their individual all counties along with with the 4x800 relay. Great job by all.

The Concert Band was awarded Gold for their performance, and the Wind Ensemble was awarded Gold with Distinction! Congratulations to all who were involved - Go Jets!

On Tuesday, the Baseball team was down one run with two outs and 2 strikes when they rallied behind DJ Dowling who hit a single, Chis Amadeo who hit a single, then Eric Garcia walked to load the bases for Trevor Smith who walked to ties the game. Then with Owen Smith up - Chris Amadeo scored the walk-off run in the bottom of the 7th on an attempted pickoff play to lead East Meadow over Calhoun in the Nassau Quarterfinals. DJ Dowling had two hits and scored a run and Nick Schwabe pitched three innings, allowing only one run and striking out seven. Trevor Smith pitched the last two innings, allowing no runs and no hits to earn the win. The Jets will play Garden City on Friday at noon at Garden City.

The JV Men’s Lacrosse team finished a fantastic season yesterday undefeated, with a record of 11-0. Great offensive play by Bradley Lukasik, Mike Petitto, Gabe Malone, Anthony Menechino, and Grady Blind. Outstanding performance by the defense led by Eddie Brown, Matt Pevsner, Dylan Kuruvilla, and Joe Cialone. Jack Alvy was incredible in the net for the Jets this season, ending on a high note, going coast to coast and scoring in yesterday’s win. Amazing effort and hard work by everyone on the team. The East Meadow Jets Boys Varsity Lacrosse team had a nice win yesterday against Hempstead. The Jets were led by Noah Garner with 5 goals and 1 assist. Bryan Tauber 4 goals and 4 assists. Vincent Ronzo had 3 goals and 3 assists. Thomas Primrose had 2 goals and 2 assists. Ihor Dekajlo scored one goal. Great Defense played by Shaun Reilly, Ryan Michel, Antonion Ribiero, Ben Barbara and Richard Morreale. Jackson Reger had 10 saves and only let in 1 goal.
