Fifth Grade engaged in a STEM challenge: Build a paper chair that can support as much weight as possible. Each group was given only 6 pieces of paper and tape. Our fifth graders beat last year’s record (1500 grams) with a chair that held 1700 grams! @emeadowschools 💙🪑💛





Mrs. Cosolito and Mr. Mentasti proudly hosted their 3rd Annual 5th Grade Poetry Open Mic, celebrating student voice, and creativity. Students shared their favorite poems, from villanelles to sincere and insincere poems, to powerful pieces written with parallel structure.🎤✨





Our 2nd graders concluded their unit on Ancient Greece with an Olympic celebration. Students participated in javelin, long jump, and baton relay races! 🇬🇷 @emeadowschools

Students in first grade have been learning about the Earth’s Systems during their first science unit of the year. They participated in a fun and exciting planetarium show in our very own gymnasium! 🌃🌏🪐@emeadowschools




On Saturday, November 22nd, select students from Meadowbrook attended the Nassau County Music Educators Association PEAK Festival with one of our music teachers, Ms. Waters! These students were nominated and selected from students across Nassau County. PEAK (Parents, Educators, and Kids) is a great way to get our parents involved in the musical activities our students participate in every day at school! The Meadowbrook chapter of K-Kids ran a food drive to help families in need as we enter the holiday season. Many thanks to our advisors, Ms. Caroddo and Ms. Rosen for helping our students give back to their community! 💙💛@emeadowschools

Our first grade students read many folktales and fables as part of a CKLA unit. As a culminating activity, the students traveled around the world learning facts about different countries that these stories originated from! ✈️🌎😊 @emeadowschools
