Major congratulations go out to our Boys 4x400m Relay of Clive Orr, Waking Jean Baptiste, Kevin Cruz, and Wil Sainbert who earned All-County Honors and reset the School Record in 3:26.1. That mark shatters the program’s previous best time, set earlier this season, by over three seconds!

East Meadow Girls Track 2026 County Runner Ups
Day 2 of the Nassau County Championship the Girls 4x800m Relay entered the event down 2 points to Freeport in the race for County Runner-Up and made up the difference with their 4th place finish of 10:01.0! Shout outs to Marcheline Simbulan, Ashley Zheng, Bella Estrella, and Emily Zaradich - who ran a MONSTER anchor leg moving up 2 spots in the final 150m!

The East Meadow Track program has a huge day at the Counties... many of our athletes had personal best races, All County Honors and Gold Medals.
Zaria Hall is a Triple Champ for the 3rd outdoor season in-a-row. Zaria captured the individual County Titles in the 1500m, 800m, and 3000m earning 30 points for the team. This was also her 4th straight year as the 800m County Champion. Noelle McGarry fought through an injury to battle back with a runner-up finish in the 100H, earning All-County honors. Expect GREAT things over the next two years for our super sophomore. Billy Duhs battled through the windy conditions at to earn another All-County placing in the pole vault with a 3rd place finish! Shout out also to Eric Palmeri who took 4th. Congratulations to Emily Zaradich who ran to a Lifetime PR of 65.89 in the 400H to earn All-County status! That also puts her within .15 off the School Record, which was set in 1981! Congratulations to Jack Matthews who went for a 23 second PR to earn 2nd and All-County status in the 3000m Steeple Chase! His 10:25.59 is EM #6 All-Time in the event! Team scores and the team county title will be determined today as the weather ended the meet early yesterday.

The EM Varsity Softball team earned a huge 5-4 walk off win vs. #1 seed Plainview. Gabriella Shepherd sealed the win with a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Katelyn Coffey led the offense with 2HRs while Emma Smith also added a HR. Coffey, Shepherd and Necci each collected two hits and Shepherd threw a complete game in the circle to help secure the exciting playoff win. The Jets will face off vs. Plainview on Saturday at 10am at Plainview HS with the winner advancing to the semis

The Jets Baseball team had a walk off 3-2 win against Port Washington as Matt Amy doubled home DJ Dowling for the game winning hit. The Jets secured home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Dowling was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi. Amy was 2 for 4 with an rbi. Ryan Jacobs was 2 for3 with a double and an rbi. Kyle Francis dominated on the mound, pitching 7 innings allowing 2 runs and striking out 9. The Jets take on Port in the first round of the playoffs Saturday at 11am.

EMHS Boys are Conference Champions... It took two days, but the Boys’ Squad pulled off the comeback with 28 points in the relays and 24 points in the pole vault to get past a great Calhoun team! Every point was needed and the boys got it done as a TEAM! How SWEEP it is! The Vaulters go 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to earn 24 points toward the team title and finish off the comeback! Super Shout Outs to Billy Duhs, Eric Palmeri, and Dylan Assif for jumping under pressure and getting it done! All 3 earned All-Division Honors!

The EMHS Girls’ Track Squad reigns once again as the Conference Champions with a 60-point victory over 2nd place Long Beach! We had 8 Individual/Relay Conference Champions and 11 All-Conference Athletes! A complete team effort! Zaria Hall had three 1st place finishes while Emily Zaradich (on her birthday) had two 1sts and a 2nd. Those two girls scored 58 points.

EMHS Boys’ Track Squad put up a 28-point in the relays to keep us in it as the team (currently in 1st). The Conference Championship results are pending today’s pole vault competition that was postponed due to excess wind. We did capture 5 Individual/Relay Championships and had 11 All-Conference Athletes! Team update later today!

The Girls Flag Football team won 26-13 over Farmingdale. The game got them into the playoffs. Alyssa Cohen had 2 TDs, Kaitlyn Cohen had 1 TD and a conversion, and Emily Klin had an interception and a conversion as well.

The Boys lacrosse team had a great win yesterday against the Baldwin Bruins. The Jets were led by Anthony Steinmark, Noah Garner, and Justin Primrose, who all had 2 goals each. Thomas Primrose, Bradley Lukasik, Grady Blind, Robert O'Brien and Steven Ricotta all added a goal. Thomas Primrose, Noah Garner and Richard Morreale all added an assist for the Jets. Jack Alvy had 10 Saves. The boys are looking to continue their success against Hicksville on Friday.

JV Tennis won their final match against Clarke yesterday finishing the season strong. Mark Shelley won his match at 2nd Singles 6-3. Lucas Pereira and James Urso won their match at 1st doubles 6-3. Kehan Chen and Reyansh Kulkarni won their match at 2nd doubles 6-3. Rogan Weiser and Elston Cheng won their match at 3rd Doubles 6-4. Trey Enriquez and Mark Riad won their match at 5th doubles 6-0. Brian Lorenz and Jeremiah Abraham had a great showing at exhibition with a 5-5 tie. A great season by 4th doubles players Matthew Wardjono and Andrew Notebaert and exhibition players Rayan Hasan and Aidan Suhovsky.

The Baseball team defeated Syosset 9-6 yesterday at home. Nick Schwabe pitched 6 innings and struck out 5 Braves for the win .Kyle Francis came in for the save . CJ Rojas was 2 for 3 with 2 rbi. Ryan Jacobs was 2 for 3 with a run scored. CJ Castillo was 1 for 2 with 2rbi and a run scored. AAyden Marquiz was 1 for2 with a triple and 2 runs scored.

The boys' varsity tennis team defeated Bethpage 5–2 yesterday! Seniors Dennis Calu and Everett Gable each won their matches 2–0, and junior Max Shafran earned a dominant 2–0 victory with a 6–0, 6–0 shutout. In doubles action, the teams of seniors Zikria Said and Joe Benedetto, and senior Aaron Ni with junior Abishai Francis both secured strong 2–1 victories. The Jets play their final game today at home against Hicksville—come out to support your team and celebrate the seniors in their last match!

The Baseball team defeated Syosset yesterday 9-7. Matt Esslinger pitched 5 innings and struck out 8 Braves for the win. CJ Rojas had 2 hits including a grand slam. EMHS track continues to excel with great results at the St. Anthony’s Invite over the weekend. Emily Zaradich took 2nd in the 400H (66.48), while Zaria Hall returned with 4:41.94 in the 1500m for a 1st place finish! Both are the fastest times for those events in Nassau County. Strong season-best from Lila Doyle in the 2k Steeple! Every meet she continues to progress and make the most of her opportunities! We had two big results in the field with Billy Duhs capturing 2nd in the pole vault and Marla Hogarth-Pierre grabbing a season-best in the triple. Also, a strong showing from Noelle McGarry who qualified for the final in the 100H and placed 6th. She currently has the fastest time in the event for the County.

The Varsity Softball team defeated Farmingdale 10-1. Allison Barnwell led the offense with three hits, including two doubles, while Ariana Rosa drove in three runs. The Jets scored early and broke the game opening with a five run fourth inning and finishing with 13 hits and seven stolen bases. Barnwell, rosa, Shepard and Gianna Venture had multiple hits. Grace Moone earned the win allowing just one unearned run in seven innings with six strikeouts.

On Friday the girls' JV badminton team beat Roosevelt 5-2. With the win, the girls finished a perfect 8-0 undefeated season! It was an all-around great team effort by the girls all season long. Great job girls!
