Ms. Luciano's NY NY class had a great experience touring Citi Field as they connected the Mets' National League history to the New York metropolitan area. The tour of the ballpark gave the students a unique perspective on the team’s legacy, not only through its physical space—like the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, named in honor of Robinson’s impact on baseball and the Mets’ role in New York’s baseball history—but also through the Mets' connection to the city and its diverse fan base.

East Meadow faced Jericho in a hard-fought varsity boys soccer match that ended in a 1-1 tie. Dylan Wauchope came through with a clutch game-tying penalty kick in the second half, while Kenny Garcia delivered an outstanding performance in goal.
