
Congratulations to the girl's varsity field hockey team on their win against New Hyde Park, 4-1. Their offense blew everyone away, with 2 goals by Gianna Ventura, and a goal a piece by Lila Keis and Kayla Lederer and assists by Gianna Ventura and Gabriella Shepherd. Shoutout to the amazing defense played by Shauna Gregorio, Gianna Celano, Maya Provitera, Valentina Monteverde and Goalie Mackenzie Goebel. The Jets go undefeated rolling into their home game vs. Oyster Bay this Wednesday.

A College Mini Fair was held at East Meadow High School on September 12th. This event featured 40 colleges and provided an opportunity for students to engage with college representatives and gather important information.







The East Meadow Varsity Boys Soccer team secured a dominant 4-1 victory over the MacArthur Generals. Leading the charge, Dayton Wauchope and Dylan Wauchope each netted two goals, with Dylan adding an assist to his impressive performance. Andrew Velasquez contributed a key assist as well. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Matthew Rivas stood tall with 10 crucial saves, helping East Meadow control the game and come out on top. The team’s combined offensive and defensive efforts ensured a well-rounded win.

Congratulations to the varsity field hockey team on their 7-0 win against Long Beach yesterday. Goals scored by Gianna Ventura, Kayla Lederer, Anna Barbieri, Zoe Orlando and a “hatrick” by Lila Kies. Outstanding assists by Jessica Stump, Maya Provitera, Lila Kies, Gianna Ventura and Zoe Orlando. Shoutout to the defensive line led by Shauna Gregorio, Sarah Gatto and Gianna Celano. Full speed ahead for their next home game this Thursday against Great Neck South! Let’s go Jets!

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team improved their record to 5-0 after a 3-0 win against Great Neck North. Freshman Vanessa Tomack had the first goal of the game to get the Jets rolling. Sophomore Ella Giordano scored 2 goals back-to-back shortly after. Ava Matthews had 6 saves in goal and Sarahi Sharma had 2 saves as well. Saturday the team will take on Jericho away at 1:00.

For the first time, all performing music ensembles
at EMHS participated in the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival. The students were required to prepare a program of specific material and perform for a panel of judges. Each then received feedback and a score. The ensembles received top ratings ranging from Silver to Gold With Distinction. Congratulations to all for your hard work and a job well done!


This past weekend two students from our tenth-grade class, Thomas Primrose and Maya Provitera attended the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar at Adelphi University. They were selected through an interview process to represent East Meadow High School as our ambassador earlier this year. We hope that they will take all that they learned this weekend and make great change in our EMHS Community.



Congratulations to Madison Fishkind for winning the Outstanding Untenured Social Studies Teacher Award presented by the LICSS. Madison accepted her award at the Roosevelt House at Long Island University.


On June 3rd, the Social Studies Honor Society hosted a “Faculty Feud” where departments from English, Science, Social Studies, Special Ed, World Language and Guidance competed against one another for fun and to raise money for the honor society. Congratulations to the World Language department for winning the competition! Many laughs were shared from our exceptional host Scott Kassan.

Congratulations to the East Meadow Track and Field athletes who won All-County accolades at the Outdoor Track and Field County Championship meet yesterday: Anaya Hall in the 2K Steeplechase, Jack Matthews in the 3K Steeple, John Turnbull in the 400 Hurdles and Zaria Hall who took the County Championship in the 1500, 800 and 3K. Next up States...

Assistant Principal for the Day, Mekeinly Augustin (9th grade) did a terrific job and we loved having him a part of the administrative team. Mekeinly shadowed Dr. Gustavo Loor and both of them had a great time.



Two EMHS beloved seniors were AP's for a day. Matt Rodriquez and Kevin Canto shadowed Asistant Principals Mrs. Egan and Mr. Genoino. The day was a great success, with all involved learning alot. The school plans on continuing this new program in the future.





EMHS students spend the day in Central Park today. A good time was had by all.

AP Drawing student Robin Canuto received the grand prize and scholarship award in the inaugural Fine Arts Award and Exhibition at the Manes Art and Education Center at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn. Robin is excited to study art illustration at FIT next year!



The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team defeated Hewlett in a heated battle yesterday 12-10. Halle Lara led the Jets with three goals, two assists and seven draw controls. Brooke Vislocky had three goals, Jessie Stump had two goals, one assist, Jaelyn Zabala had two goals, one assist and two draw controls, Alexis Chew had a goal and three draw controls, Kayla Lederer had a goal, Madelyn Reger had an assist and goalie Dynastee Ramos had 13 saves to keep the Jets in the game. Outstanding defense played by Kate Barnett, Guilianna D’Alessandro, Shauna Gregorio, Ava Zucker and Jojo Jasmin. Come support us at home on Thursday at 5:00 as we take on Oyster Bay!
