Students in grades 2–5 attended a powerful assembly with award-winning author Amy McCoy, who shared her book Little Big Sister and explored themes of disability understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Through her engaging presentation, students gained a deeper awareness of peers with disabilities—including autism—and learned how writers turn their ideas into impactful stories.
