Our 4th graders have been busy learning all about the life cycle of chickens by raising chicks in their classrooms! From eggs to hatchlings, students have observed each stage of development and cared for the chicks as they grew. It’s been an egg-citing hands-on experience!

Students in grades 2–5 attended a powerful assembly with award-winning author Amy McCoy, who shared her book Little Big Sister and explored themes of disability understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Through her engaging presentation, students gained a deeper awareness of peers with disabilities—including autism—and learned how writers turn their ideas into impactful stories. Inspired by Amy’s message, our students left ready to make a positive difference in their school and community!
