Kindergarten students celebrated Kindness Day by wearing yellow and spreading joy throughout the school! 💛 They also drew heartwarming pictures and messages on paper lining the hallways, filling Parkway with kindness and cheer.
Our 4th graders have been busy learning all about the life cycle of chickens by raising chicks in their classrooms! From eggs to hatchlings, students have observed each stage of development and cared for the chicks as they grew. It’s been an egg-citing hands-on experience!

First graders celebrated the end of their fairy tale unit with a magical Royal Ball! Students dressed up and enjoyed a day filled with fairy tale fun to mark the end of their learning.
Students in grades 2–5 attended a powerful assembly with award-winning author Amy McCoy, who shared her book Little Big Sister and explored themes of disability understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Through her engaging presentation, students gained a deeper awareness of peers with disabilities—including autism—and learned how writers turn their ideas into impactful stories. Inspired by Amy’s message, our students left ready to make a positive difference in their school and community!
In celebration of Autism Acceptance Week, students rocked their wildest hairstyles for Crazy Hair Day! With the theme “Acceptance Makes Our World Beautiful,” this fun and colorful day reminded us that our differences are what make us shine.

From morning melodies to gallery showcases, March was a shining example of the East Meadow School District’s commitment to the arts. Through Music in Our Schools Month and Youth Art Month, students not only honed their craft but also shared their passion and talent with the entire community.
