Woodland 7th graders "got on board" for the Combat Hate: Social Media Literacy workshop. Students explored aspects of social media, how to stay positive online, and discussed ways to curate their digital footprint.










In keeping with the spirit of generosity, Yorker's Club members participated in the November Food Drive and collected over 200 items for East Meadow families in need. The drive is still going - every item helps!!




We are excited to kick off our annual John Thiessen Holiday Toy Drive! This morning, we were fortunate to have John here to speak with our 6th grade students about his journey and his organization. Last year 130,000 toys were distributed. No donation is too small!

We’re continuing Day 2 of high school preparation with Mr. Murray and Ms. Paras as they guide our 8th graders through high school graduation requirements and elective choices. Exciting times ahead for our future freshmen!



Today, our eighth grade students explored their high school elective options! Mr. Murray and Ms. Paras provided an overview of the graduation requirements and highlighted the online course catalog through an engaging interactive presentation. The rest of our eighth graders will participate in the session tomorrow!

Thanks to our 7th grade school counselors for teaching our students about digital citizenship, cyber bullying, and social media. Our students will be well-prepared for upcoming presentations about these topics from the Mobile Museum of Tolerance!










In November, we celebrate caring, empathy, and gratitude! Students are spending time during lunch showing their appreciation to members of the Woodland faculty and staff.
